Electrical Maintenance Engineer - High End Residential / Commercial Offices - London (Knightsbridge) - Up to £35,000

Exciting opportunity to work for a for a leading property management company situated in London. I am currently looking for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to look after a number of high end / luxury residential and commercial properties in the Knightsbridge area. The successful candidate will be electrically qualified and have an all round understanding of most trades, as well as having a proven track record in property / commercial building maintenance. He or she will be required to attend a number of properties and carry out all aspects of planned and reactive electrical maintenance including; Changing lights, Small electrical installation, Unblocking toilets, Painting, Tiling and Changing locks to name a few. In return the company are offering a competitive salary paying up to £35,000, overtime and a great package.

Hours of work

  • Monday to Friday - 08:00am to 17:00pm
  • Overtime paid at 1.5 after 40 hours work has been completed
  • During busy periods, you may be asked to be flexible with working hours (Inclusive of possible weekend work)

Requirements (Essential)

  • City & Guilds - Level 2 & 3
  • City & Guilds - 17th or 18th Edition
  • City & Guilds - Testing and inspection certificate (2391 or 2392 or 2394 and 2395 together)
  • A proven track record in commercial building or property maintenance
  • Happy to cover a portfolio of high end properties
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Highly flexible and adaptable with hours, duties and travel
  • Full driving license (In case you are required to use the company pool car)
  • Committed to/looking for a long term role
  • Electrical Installation experience (Minor works)
  • Able to work to very high standards
  • Basic knowledge of building regulations
  • A thorough understanding of Health & Safety standards
  • A professional approach with particular emphasis on maintaining confidentiality
  • Strong time management, organisation and planning skills
  • Oversee / Supervise specialist sub contractors
  • Provide cover for colleagues in times of absence and on call assistance

Highly desirable (Not essential)

  • Experience working in a hotel 
  • Experience working in a high end residential property 
  • A recognised trade qualifications (Not Electrical) - City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent 
  • Any security or CRB/DBS clearance
