An exciting opportunity to join an established International FM service provider based in the heart of Cambridge has arisen!

CBW Staffing Solutions are currently recruiting for an Electrical bias Lead Engineer to be based in a commercial office building based in Cambridge. The successful candidate will be required to carry out all aspects of multi-skilled maintenance within this commercial office building environment. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Facilities Maintenance and have a proven track record in commercial building maintenance. This position would be ideal for a Lead Engineer currently in a similar position who is keen on progression. The ideal candidate for this position will have a testing and inspection qualification or have the desire to complete the course which will be provided by the company. In return the company are offering a competitive salary in the region of £37,000 with a potential route into further career progression and management.

Key duties & Responsibilities

Reporting to the Operations Manager
To provide the safe operation, planned and reactive maintenance of electrical services plant and equipment
To carry out the installation of new electrical equipment as required i.e. minor new works, refurbishment and capital works replacement programme
Experienced in all types of design and installation techniques with the ability to appraise problems and the capability to rectify them.
Participate in the management / organisation of Subcontractors
Ensure prompt and accurate completion of all associated paperwork
To participate in the Appointed Persons role for an identified discipline.

Hours of Work

Monday to Friday- Split Days - 06:00 to 15:00 / 09:00 – 18:00
● 1 in 4 - Call Out Rota - £101 per week on call
● Lots of overtime readily available


● Electrical Qualifications – Level 2/3 – NVQ or City & Guilds Equivalent
● Test & Inspection Qualification
● Multi-Skilled
● Client facing and presentable
● A proven track record in commercial building maintenance
● Hard working honest and reliable
