Exciting opportunity to work for an established FM service provider situated in London. CBW are currently recruiting a Lead Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to be based in a commercial & Residential building located a short walk from Charing Cross or Temple station. The successful candidate will be mechanically qualified / biased (C&G or NVQ) with a proven track record in commercial building maintenance. He or she will be responsible for the day to day planned and reactive maintenance, supervision of an improver, dealing with the client/sub contractors to name a few. In return the company is offering a competitive salary of up to £40,000, overtime available and career progression.

Hours of work

Monday to Friday - 08:00am to 17:00pm

Key duties & Responsibilities

  • Monitor mechanical plant
  • Pumps, Motors, Seals, Bearings
  • Chillers
  • Air Conditioning - Air Handling Units / Fan Coil Unit (Filter changes, cleaning)
  • Water Treatment (Temperature checks / Not dosing)
  • Plumbing - Unblocking toilets, replacing taps, washers etc
  • Monitor the BMS systems
  • Basic electrical duties (Lamp changes etc)
  • General building fabric
  • Order parts & materials
  • Attend client meetings when required
  • Escort specialist sub-contractors
  • Issue permits to work & Carry out risk assessments
  • Ensure the site log books are kept up to date

Requirements

  • Mechanical qualifications - NVQ or City & Guilds
  • You must be able to provide copies of your trade certificates
  • A proven track record in commercial building maintenance
  • Strong understanding of plant rooms
  • Multi-skilled
  • Good communication skills
  • Supervisory skills

Highly desirable (Not essential)

  • Any further qualifications (i.e. Electrical or Air Conditioning etc)
  • Experience working in a high end residential properties
  • HIU Experience (Service & Maintenance)
