An outstanding opportunity for a Facilities Manager to join a leading International Building Services Company. CBW are currently recruiting for a Facilities Manager to be based at a large commercial estate based in Ipswich, Suffolk. The desired candidate will ideally be from a Technical Engineering Background and have a wealth of experience working as a Facilities Manager managing a large complex.
 
In return the company are offering a competitive salary paying between £45,000 to £50,000 based on experience, further training and career progression.

Hours of work

Monday to Friday - 08:00am to 17:00pm

Key duties & Requirements

·         Act as a single point of contact for your allocated buildings, managing relationships with customers, suppliers and your team to deliver the target working environment
·         Responsible for health and safety compliance onsite, including that of third party service providers and maintenance records.
·         Regular monitoring of the key performance indicators and taking remedial action as applicable to ensure the required standards are maintained, and continuously improved for the full range of buildings and services
·         Compile and maintain all required management information/records. This includes asset register, emergency plans and all related records and management reports
·         Lead a direct team including full line management of all colleagues within your cluster, encouraging a customer focused culture
·         Further develop and maintain excellent customer/tenant relationships
·         Proactively manage risk and deal with insurance issues relating to your cluster
·         Manage major work programmes on site, acting as the liaison point for all parties involved
·         Produce management reports in accordance with the needs of the business
·         Work with the procurement department to ensure compilation of external contracts
·         Be available and on call outside normal working hours, to manage incidents and escalations across the estate
·         Monitor expenditure, ensuring frugal and sustainable procurement of goods and services.
·         Manage suppliers to ensure effective, safe and compliant delivery of all property management services.
·         Utilising all internal tools and processes, such as supplier measurement programs and contracted KPIs/SLAs.
·         Coordinate to implement processes and share information in relation to incidents and emergency response.
·         Responsibility for coordinating with all stakeholders to create, communicate and maintain a business continuity management system specific to each building.
·         Ownership of external relationship management in relation to the property, ranging from local authorities, neighbouring properties, to the wider community.
·         Undertake any other reasonable property management-related duties as required by management or leadership.

Requirements


·         Technical Background / Engineering Qualification (Highly Desired)
·         Experience running a Hard & Soft services contract
·         High degree and knowledge reference of Health and Safety legislation, environmental protection requirements and ideally IOSH or NEBOSH qualified
·         Continual focus on industry best practice and innovation
·         Be an effective communicator.
