A brilliant opportunity has arisen to work for an established building services company. My client is looking for a Hands-on Site Manager to be based in a commercial office building situated near London’s St Paul’s & Liverpool Street.

The successful candidate will ideally be multi-skilled with a proven track record in commercial building maintenance and hold previous supervisory experience. In return the company are offering a competitive salary, overtime and the chance to work at this very modern site. The successful candidate must have a current HV Qualification or a desire to become HV qualified.

Working with the client on site, the successful candidate will be required to carry out the following supervisory and hands on tasks.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
  • Report directly into the Account Manager
  • Assist the Account Manager in with the "day to day" running of the contract
  • Assist in the management of all maintenance staff on the contracts
  • Manage agreed KPI and SLA's alongside the Account Manager
  • Arrange specialist sub-contractors
  • Management of all reports/site log books (Working with the Account Manager)
  • Ensure all paperwork is up to date on each contract and ready for audits
  • Attend client meetings if required
  • Carry out hands on M&E / Fabric maintenance (Hands on / Supervisory)
  • Lighting (Small installation, Fault-finding, Lamping, etc)
  • Emergency lighting & Fire alarm tests
  • Air Conditioning - Air Handling Units / Fan Coil Unit (Filter changes, cleaning)
  • Water Treatment (Temperature checks / Not dosing)
  • Plumbing - Unblocking toilets
  • BMS System - Monitor (i.e. Hot & Colds)
Hours of Work & Salary

  • Up to £49,000 per annum
  • Monday to Friday (40 hour week)
  • 08:00am to 17:00pm
  • On call rota
  • Matched pension contribution
Requirements

  • Electrically qualified
  • HV Qualified – Desired
  • C&G / NVQ Level 2&3 - Essential
  • C&G 17th Edition or 18th Edition
  • You must be able to provide copies of your trade certificates
  • A proven track record in commercial building maintenance
  • Experience of service delivery in high profile office
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing with all levels of staff and clients.
  • Ability to manage and prioritise a demanding and varying workload
  • Ability to deliver projects on time and on budget
  • Attend client meetings if required
