A brilliant opportunity has arisen to work for an established building services company. My client is looking for a Hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to be based at a commercial office building in Bank, Central London. The Ideal candidate will be multi-skilled and from a strong technical background with a proven track record in commercial building maintenance.

The successful candidate will be responsible for an engineering team of two and enjoy the hands-on element to the role. In return the company is offering a competitive salary, overtime and the chance to work for a market leading service provider. Working with the client on site, the successful candidate will be required to carry out the following supervisory tasks.

Key Duties & Responsibilities 
  • Report directly into the Contract Manager Assist the Contract Manager in with the "day to day" running of the contract 
  • Assist in the management of all maintenance staff on the contracts 
  • Manage agreed KPI and SLA's alongside the Contract Manager 
  • Arrange specialist sub-contractors Management of all reports/site log books (Working with the Contract Manager) 
  • Ensure all paperwork is up to date on each contract and ready for audits 
  • Attend client meetings if required 
  • Manage Engineering Team Lighting (Small installation, Fault-finding, Lamping, etc) Emergency lighting & Fire alarm tests Air Conditioning - Air Handling Units / Fan Coil Unit (Filter changes, cleaning) BMS System - Monitor (i.e. Hot & Colds) 

Hours of Work & Salary

  • Up to £40,000 per annum 
  • Monday to Friday (40 hour week) 08:00am to 17:00pm 
  • 25 Days Holiday 
Requirements
 
  • Electrically or Mechanically qualified C&G / NVQ Level 2&3 - Essential 
  • C&G 17th Edition or 18th Edition 
  • You must be able to provide copies of your trade certificates 
  • A proven track record in commercial building maintenance 
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing with all levels of staff and clients. 
  • Ability to manage and prioritise a demanding and varying workload 
  • Attend client meetings if required 
  • Offer technical support to the Contract Manager, client and onsite maintenance team
