A brilliant opportunity has arisen to work for an established building services company. My client is looking for a Hands-on Supervisor to be based a short walk from Chancery Lane Tube Station.
The successful candidate will ideally be from a strong mechanical background with a proven track record in commercial building maintenance. The role is 50 / 50 hands on split and the ideal candidate will hold previous Lead or Supervisory experience. Working with the client on site, the successful candidate will be required to carry out the following supervisory and hands on tasks.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Report directly into the Contract Manager
Assist the Account Manager in with the "day to day" running of the contract
Assist in the management of all maintenance staff on the contracts
Manage agreed KPI and SLA's alongside the Account Manager
Arrange specialist sub-contractors
Management of all reports/site log books (Working with the Account Manager)
Ensure all paperwork is up to date on each contract and ready for audits
Attend client meetings if required
Monitor mechanical plant
Pumps, Motors, Seals, Bearings
Carry out hands on M&E / Fabric maintenance (Hands on / Supervisory)
Air Conditioning - Air Handling Units / Fan Coil Unit (Filter changes, cleaning)
Water Treatment (Temperature checks / Not dosing)
BMS System - Monitor (i.e. Hot & Colds)
Hours of Work & Salary
Up to £43,000 per annum
Monday to Friday (40 hour week) – 08:00 – 17:00
23 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays
Mechanical qualifications - NVQ or City & Guilds LV 3
You must be able to provide copies of your trade certificates
A proven track record in commercial building maintenance
Good communication skills
Experience of service delivery in high profile office
Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing with all levels of staff and clients.
Ability to manage and prioritise a demanding and varying workload
Attend client meetings if required
Offer technical support to the Contract Manager, client and on-site maintenance team
