A brilliant opportunity has arisen to work for an established building services company. My client is looking for an experienced Electrical Supervisor to be based at a busy commercial site situated a short walk from Canary Wharf station. The successful candidate will ideally be multi-skilled with a proven track record in commercial building maintenance and hold previous supervisory experience. In return the company is offering a competitive salary, overtime and the chance to work at this very modern site. Working with the client on site, the successful candidate will be required to carry out the following supervisory and hands on tasks.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Report directly into the Contract Manager
  • Assist the Account Manager in with the "day to day" running of the contract
  • Assist in the management of all maintenance staff on the contracts
  • Manage agreed KPI and SLA's alongside the Account Manager
  • Arrange specialist sub-contractors
  • Management of all reports/site log books (Working with the Account Manager)
  • Ensure all paperwork is up to date on each contract and ready for audits
  • Attend client meetings if required
  • Carry out hands on M&E / Fabric maintenance (Hands on / Supervisory)
  • Lighting (Small installation, Fault-finding, Lamping, etc) Emergency lighting & Fire alarm tests, Air Conditioning - Air Handling Units / Fan Coil Unit (Filter changes, cleaning), Water Treatment (Temperature checks / Not dosing), BMS System - Monitor (i.e. Hot & Colds)

Hours of Work & Salary

  • Up to £50,000 per annum (Dependent on Experience)
  • Monday to Friday (40 hour week)
  • 08:00am to 17:00pm


  • Electrically qualified
  • HV Qualified – Desired
  • C&G / NVQ Level 2&3 – Essential
  • C&G 17th Edition or 18th Edition
  • You must be able to provide copies of your trade certificates
  • A proven track record in commercial building maintenance
  • Experience of service delivery in high profile office
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing with all levels of staff and clients.
  • Ability to manage and prioritise a demanding and varying workload
  • Ability to deliver projects on time and on budget
  • Attend client meetings if required
  • Offer technical support to the Contract Manager, client and on site maintenance team
