Salary:  £48,000 – £56,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Location:  Based in Greenwich, covering three sites across London & the South East
Transport:  Own van required; mileage and travel expenses reimbursed
Hours:  Mon–Thurs 08:30–17:30 | Fri 08:30–16:00
Call-Out:  1-in-5 rota with paid overtime

About the Role
CBW Recruitment is partnering with a leading Facilities Management provider to recruit an experienced  Access Control Engineer. This permanent position offers coverage of three well-connected sites near Greenwich, providing a consistent schedule and minimal travel.

You will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and installing access control and door-entry systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and delivering high-quality service across all sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs), fault diagnosis, and emergency repairs on access control/intercom systems
  
  
• Install, configure, and commission access control and door-entry systems
  
  
• Conduct system tests in accordance with British Standards
  
  
• Maintain accurate service records and compliance documentation
  
  
• Build and maintain professional relationships with clients
  
  
• Respond to call-outs as part of a shared 1-in-5 rota
  
  

• 2–3 years’ hands-on experience with access control or security systems in commercial/FM environments
  
  
• Recognised qualifications (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds) in Access Control, Electrotechnical, or related fields
  
  
• Full UK driving licence and access to your own van
  
  
• CSCS or CPCS card
  
  
• Good knowledge of controllers, wiring, POE, and networked systems
  
  
• Strong organisational and customer service skills
  
  
• Additional certifications (BAFE, FIA, First Aid, Emergency Lighting) are advantageous
