CBW are currently seeking an experienced Air Conditioning Engineer to join a progressive and specialist contractor working directly with end-user clients across Scotland’s Central Belt. This is a well-structured role with realistic workloads, strong administrative support, and systems in place to ensure engineers can focus on doing the job properly.
Salary & Benefits Package:
- Salary up to £45,000 depending on experience
- Guaranteed additional income from call-outs (approx. £600 per year)
- 36-hour working week – no excessive hours
- On-call rota approximately once every 6 weeks (often less frequent)
- Call-out payments: £100 weekend allowance + minimum 4 hours paid
- Overtime rates:
- Saturday – Time and a half
- Sunday – Double time
- Paid travel time after 20 miles from the office

Key Responsibilities:
- Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
- Reactive maintenance and emergency breakdown response
- Fault finding, diagnostics, and repair work
- Delivering effective first-time fixes where possible
- Maintaining high standards of safety and workmanship
- Communicating clearly with clients and internal teams
- F-Gas Category 1 certification
- NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration (or equivalent)
- Proven experience in a mobile AC Engineer role
- Strong background in commercial PPM and fault finding
- Full UK driving licence
