Role Overview:
We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Service Engineer
to join our growing team based in Colchester. The role involves servicing, maintaining, and repairing a variety of commercial and light industrial air conditioning and refrigeration systems at client sites.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer who takes pride in quality work and problem-solving, with pay aligned to your skill level and contribution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Service, maintenance, and breakdown response for a range of AC and refrigeration systems(split, VRV/VRF, cold rooms, chillers, display units, etc.)
- Conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and emergency call-outs.
- Fault finding and diagnostics, ensuring minimal downtime for clients.
- Complete job reports and relevant documentation clearly and on time.
- Participate in the standby rota (1 in 5 weeks)
for emergency call-outs.
- Maintain a professional approach and excellent customer service at all times.
- Proven experience in air conditioning and refrigeration service work.
- F-Gas Category 1 certification(mandatory).
- Strong fault-finding and technical skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Good communication skills and a team player attitude.
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning or equivalent.
- Electrical knowledge or additional trade certifications.
- Experience working with commercial clients in hospitality, retail, or manufacturing.
