About the Role
Our client, a respected and forward-thinking property consultancy, is seeking an experienced Assistant Building Surveyor to join their team in Eltham. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in social housing and building services who is looking to develop their career within a supportive and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out building inspections, condition surveys, and diagnostic assessments
- Preparing clear and accurate reports, specifications, and schedules of work
- Supporting senior surveyors on repairs, maintenance, and refurbishment programmes
- Liaising with tenants, contractors, housing officers, and other stakeholders
- Ensuring compliance with relevant building regulations, safety standards, and housing requirements
- Proven experience within social housing
and building services

- Strong understanding of repairs, planned maintenance, and property compliance
- Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage your own workload
- Confident dealing with tenants and contractors
- Proactive, practical, and able to problem-solve on site
- Competitive salary up to £40,000
