Assistant Planner (Construction)– Glasgow South Side - 25-28K DOE

CBW are looking for a Assistant Planner to join a construction team, supporting the delivery of renewable installation and Energy as a Service programme.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is organised, proactive and keen to develop a career in project coordination. You don't need previous experience in renewable energy, construction or installation — they will provide structured on-the-job training and support to help you develop your skills.

Working closely with Project Coordinators and the Site Team, you’ll play an important role in keeping projects moving, ensuring appointments are coordinated, documentation is complete and information is accurately recorded.

As your knowledge and confidence grow, you’ll gradually take on more responsibility, with the opportunity to progress towards a Project Coordinator position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Scheduling & Project Coordination
  • Support Project Coordinators with the planning and scheduling of installation works.
  • Help coordinate surveyors, installers and contractors to meet customer, client and funder deadlines.
  • Assist with arranging site access, customer appointments and pre-installation requirements.
  • Keep project schedules
  • Assist with preparing, issuing, and tracking job packs, checking that required paperwork, permissions, and
compliance documentation are in place prior to works commencing.
  • Support accurate record-keeping within Big Change, learning to log job cards, timesheets, and completion
    evidence correctly.
  • Help chase outstanding documentation from surveyors, installers, and contractors, escalating persistent gaps to
    the Project Coordinator.
To be considered:

  • Some experience in an administrative, customer service, or support role; previous experience within
construction, installation, or renewable energy is not essential.
  • Good organisational skills with a willingness to learn how to manage multiple schedules, deadlines, and
    stakeholders.
  • Confident user of Microsoft Office (particularly Excel), with the ability to quickly learn new systems such as Big
    Change.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, with a professional manner when dealing with clients,
    contractors, and internal teams.
  • Good attention to detail, particularly when supporting compliance documentation and job records.
  • A proactive, enthusiastic approach to learning, taking direction, and building new skills.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team, taking direction from Project Coordinators and Project Managers.
Salary & Benefits:

  • 25-28K
  • 28 days holiday
  • Private pension
  • Growth & development
