This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established company that values craftsmanship, team culture, and long-term career progression.

The Role: As a 5-Axis CNC Machinist, you will be working within a state-of-the-art workshop in South East London, programming and operating CNC machines to manufacture precision components for bespoke fire doors and timber assemblies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up, operate, and program 5-axis CNC machines for timber and wood-based components

  • Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and job sheets

  • Manufacture bespoke fire door components to tight tolerances and industry standards

  • Perform routine maintenance checks and keep machines in good working condition

  • Ensure all work complies with health & safety and fire door certification requirements

Requirements:
  • Proven experience operating 5-axis CNC machines in a woodworking or carpentry environment

  • Background in wood machining, bespoke joinery, or carpentry

  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and CAD/CAM files

  • Excellent attention to detail and quality control

  • A proactive and positive attitude with strong problem-solving skills

  • Good communication and teamwork skills

What’s On Offer:
  • Competitive salary (depending on experience)

  • Overtime available

  • Career development and internal progression within the business

  • Join a close-knit, family-owned company with a long-standing industry presence

  • Full-time, permanent role with immediate start available

  • Stable work in a growing, regulated industry
