CBW are currently recruiting an experienced Contract Manager to oversee the delivery of all hard FM services across a high-profile commercial portfolio split between Little Chesterford (3 days per week) and Cambridge (2 days per week).
This role involves managing a dedicated on-site team, including a Supervisor and engineers, ensuring all planned and reactive maintenance activities are delivered to the highest standards. You will be responsible for coordinating operations across both locations, maintaining efficiency and ensuring a consistently high level of service delivery.
Hours
- Monday to Friday, 08:00am – 17:00pm
- Report directly to the Operations Manager
- Oversee and manage agreed KPIs and SLAs to ensure contract performance
- Take ownership of health, safety, and environmental standards across both sites
- Manage and support a Supervisor and team of engineers
- Plan and coordinate maintenance activities, shutdowns, and project works
- Ensure compliance with company quality procedures
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing development of team members
- Conduct appraisals, manage attendance, and handle disciplinary matters
- Build and maintain strong client relationships across both locations
- Oversee all contract reporting requirements
- Identify opportunities to improve service delivery and grow contract value
- Provide technical support to both client and engineering teams
- Manage permit-to-work systems effectively
- Represent the business in client meetings
- Maintain full financial oversight, including P&L and budgeting
- Qualified in an engineering discipline (Electrical or Mechanical – C&G, HNC, HND or higher)
- Proven experience managing hard FM services across commercial environments
- Experience leading engineering teams, including supervisors and mobile/static engineers
- Strong background in commercial building maintenance
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage a varied and demanding workload effectively
