CBW Staffing Solutions is currently recruiting for a Shift Engineer to join an established FM service provider at a large commercial building in Liverpool Street, Central London.
The successful candidate will be either mechanically or electrically qualified with previous experience working within commercial building maintenance. Working as part of an established engineering team, you will carry out planned and reactive maintenance across M&E and general building services.
Hours of Work:
- 4 on, 4 off – Days Only
- 07:00 – 19:00
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned and reactive M&E maintenance.
- Electrical and mechanical fault finding.
- Lighting maintenance and small installations.
- Emergency lighting testing.
- Monitor building services through the BMS.
- Maintain pumps, motors and boosted water pumps.
- Carry out basic plumbing repairs and maintenance.
- Complete water flushing and temperature checks.
- Carry out general M&E and fabric maintenance.
- Maintain site logbooks and compliance documentation.
- Identify and report faults with building services equipment.
- Ensure PPMs and reactive tasks are completed within required KPIs and SLAs.
- Liaise with clients and site management regarding maintenance issues.
- Ensure all works are completed in accordance with health & safety requirements.
- Support specialist subcontractors where required.

Requirements:
- Electrically or Mechanically qualified – Level 2 or Level 3 (City & Guilds, NVQ, EAL or equivalent)
- Must be able to provide copies of trade certificates
- Proven commercial building maintenance experience
- Experience working within a large commercial building
- Multi-skilled building services experience
- Good fault-finding ability
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Must be able to get to Liverpool Street for a 07:00 start
