CBW Staffing Solutions is currently recruiting for experienced Plumbing Engineers to join a growing building services contractor working across a portfolio of Housing Association and Local Authority properties throughout London and the surrounding areas.
The successful candidate will carry out a mixture of reactive plumbing repairs, planned maintenance, installations and upgrade works within occupied and void residential properties. This is a great opportunity for an experienced domestic plumber looking for a secure position with plenty of overtime, a company van and genuine opportunities to progress.
The company is looking for engineers across South East London, South West London and North London, although applications are welcomed from engineers based anywhere around the M25.
Hours of Work:
- Summer (April – September): 08:00 – 17:00
- Winter (October – March): 08:00 – 18:00
- Average 42.5-hour working week
- 1-hour unpaid lunch
- Call-out rota
- Plenty of overtime available
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Carrying out reactive plumbing repairs within Social Housing properties.
- Diagnosing and repairing leaks, blockages, water pressure issues and general plumbing faults.
- Repairing and replacing taps, toilets, sinks, baths, showers and associated sanitaryware.
- Maintaining domestic heating systems including radiators, pumps, valves and pipework.
- Carrying out planned maintenance, void works and plumbing installations.
- Completing bathroom, kitchen and general plumbing upgrades.
- Carrying out leak repairs and water containment works.
- Testing and commissioning systems following repairs and installations.
- Completing job reports and updating maintenance records using a PDA.
- Working within occupied properties and providing a professional service to residents.
- Participating in the out-of-hours call-out rota.
Package:
- £32,000 – £38,000 basic salary, depending on experience

Requirements:
- NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 Plumbing qualification, or equivalent experience.
- Proven domestic plumbing maintenance and installation experience.
- Good knowledge of hot and cold-water systems, sanitaryware, radiators and heating components.
- Strong plumbing fault-finding and repair skills.
- Previous Social Housing, Housing Association or Local Authority experience is desirable.
- G3 Unvented Hot Water qualification desirable.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Enhanced DBS or willingness to undergo one.
