CBW Staffing Solutions is currently recruiting for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a leading FM service provider on a prestigious commercial office building in Liverpool Street, London. The successful candidate will be electrically qualified (C&G / NVQ or equivalent) with a proven background in commercial building maintenance. Working as part of a multi-skilled engineering team, you will carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance, while also supporting with basic mechanical and general building services maintenance where required.
Hours of Work
- 4 on 4 off Days
- 7:00am – 7:00pm
- Salary up to £52,500 per annum

- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across all electrical building services
- Maintain and repair electrical systems including lighting, emergency lighting, power distribution and associated equipment
- Carry out electrical fault finding and diagnostics
- Test and maintain emergency lighting systems
- Carry out lamp, ballast, socket, switch and general electrical component replacements
- Assist with testing and maintenance of distribution boards, panels and electrical plant
- Monitor BMS systems and respond to electrical-related plant alarms where appropriate
- Carry out basic mechanical and general building services maintenance where required
- Escort and supervise specialist electrical and M&E subcontractors
- Ensure all works are completed in line with KPI and SLA requirements
- Complete all maintenance documentation accurately and on time
- Identify and report faults with building services equipment and take appropriate action
- Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety procedures
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with the client and site management team
- Remain flexible and assist with additional maintenance duties within your level of competence
- Electrical qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent)
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Experience working within commercial building maintenance
- Strong knowledge of electrical building services
- Experience with lighting, emergency lighting, power distribution and electrical fault finding
- Basic mechanical knowledge would be advantageous
- Experience working in a critical environment is desirable
- Ability to provide copies of trade qualifications
- Proven track record in commercial maintenance
