The Company: CBW is proud to be working in partnership with a well-established, family-run manufacturer of passive fire protection products based in the London Borough of Bexley. Specialising in the production of high-quality fire-rated doors, this business has built a strong reputation for craftsmanship, safety, and internal development. Due to continued growth, they are now looking to appoint an enthusiastic Entry-Level Production Operative to join their dedicated team.

The Role: This is a hands-on, entry-level position ideal for someone looking to build a long-term career in manufacturing and fire protection. You’ll be trained across all areas of the production process and will support the manufacture, installation, and ongoing maintenance of fire-rated doors. The role offers a clear progression path, full training, and the opportunity to become a key member of a growing and supportive team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the manufacture, installation, and maintenance of passive fire protection doors

  • Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently

  • Follow technical drawings and production specifications

  • Maintain high standards of quality control across all stages of work

  • Support workshop operations including materials handling and basic assembly

  • Collaborate with senior team members to meet production and installation schedules

  • Ensure health and safety protocols are followed at all times

What We're Looking For:
  • Experience using hand tools(e.g., drills, saws, screwdrivers); carpentry background is a plus

  • Willingness to learn and take on a variety of tasks across manufacturing and site work

  • A proactive attitude, strong work ethic, and attention to detail

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

  • Physically fit and comfortable working in a hands-on environment

  • Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
