CBW is currently recruiting for an exciting Lead Engineer position with a well-established and highly regarded FM service provider, based at a modern commercial office building in the West End of London. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced building services engineer who wants to take ownership of a site, develop their leadership experience and join a company keen to promote and progress people from within. You will oversee the day-to-day engineering operations across a modern multi-storey office building, taking responsibility for planned and reactive maintenance while managing one engineer on site. The role is highly client-facing, so we are looking for someone professional, confident and personable who enjoys building strong relationships with both the client and wider contract team. Monday to Friday - 08:00am – 17:00pm

- Take ownership of the day-to-day engineering and maintenance operations on site
- Manage and support one engineer, ensuring works are completed efficiently and to a high standard
- Deliver an effective Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) programme
- Manage agreed KPIs and SLAs alongside the Supervisor
- Arrange, coordinate and oversee specialist subcontractors
- Manage reports, site logbooks and maintenance documentation in partnership with the Contract Manager and Supervisor
- Ensure all site documentation remains current, compliant and audit-ready
- Attend client meetings and build strong working relationships with key stakeholders
- Carry out electrical maintenance including lighting installations, fault-finding and lamp replacements
- Complete emergency lighting and fire alarm testing
- Carry out basic air conditioning maintenance across AHUs and FCUs, including filter changes, cleaning and general checks
- Monitor and adjust the BMS in response to hot/cold calls and building requirements
- Ensure all statutory compliance requirements are maintained
- Assist with reactive M&E maintenance and fault-finding across the building
- Electrical or Mechanical qualification – NVQ / City & Guilds Level 2 or 3 or equivalent
- Strong commercial building maintenance experience
- Multi-skilled across mechanical and electrical building services
- Previous Lead Engineer or senior engineering experience would be advantageous
- Confident and professional in a client-facing environment
- Good communication and leadership skills
