CBW is currently recruiting an experienced Lead Electrical Engineer to join an established FM service provider on a prestigious contract in Central London. This is an excellent opportunity for an electrically qualified engineer looking to take the next step in their career and join a large, established FM provider. The successful candidate will take a leading role in delivering planned and reactive electrical maintenance across the site, working closely with the wider engineering team and specialist subcontractors. You will also have the opportunity to undertake further technical and authorised person training. This is a client-facing role, so we are looking for someone technically strong who is also professional, reliable and confident communicating with clients, colleagues and contractors.

- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across the site
- Maintain single-phase and three-phase electrical systems
- Carry out electrical fault-finding, repairs and testing
- Diagnose electrical faults and source replacement parts
- Carry out electrical inspections, testing and remedial works
- Complete Initial Verification and Periodic Inspection and Testing in accordance with current BS 7671 requirements
- Undertake relevant AP training and development
- Support the planning and delivery of electrical shutdowns
- Assist with project works and electrical upgrades
- Oversee and liaise with specialist subcontractors
- Support the wider engineering team with technical issues
- Ensure all electrical work is carried out safely and to a high standard
- Maintain accurate site records, reports and relevant electrical documentation
- Ensure safe systems of work and site procedures are followed at all times
- Develop strong working relationships with the client and wider contract team
- City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 Electrical qualification or equivalent
- 18th Edition
- Inspection & Testing qualification / experience
- Strong experience within commercial building services / facilities management
- Experience carrying out PPM and reactive electrical maintenance
- Strong knowledge of single-phase and three-phase electrical systems
- Experience with electrical fault-finding, repairs, inspection and testing
- Knowledge of current BS 7671 regulations
- AM1 and AM2 qualifications / achievements
- Experience installing and commissioning electrotechnical systems
- Able to work independently and use own initiative
- Professional and confident in a client-facing environment
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Willing to undertake further technical and AP training
