Maintenance Supervisor – Greenwich, London – Temporary Contract 

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join an established facilities management provider on a large, multi-building campus in Greenwich. CBW are currently recruiting for an ongoing temporary position, offering the chance to oversee the day-to-day delivery of engineering and maintenance services across the site.

The successful candidate will lead a team of 6–8 engineers, ensuring both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance are carried out safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. This is a hands-on supervisory role, requiring strong leadership, technical knowledge, and the ability to coordinate engineers and specialist subcontractors while maintaining excellent service delivery.

Hours of work:

Monday to Friday – 08:00am to 17:00pm
Temp to perm 

Key Duties:
  • Organise and manage all planned and reactive maintenance
  • Lead and supervise a team of multi-skilled engineers (2 direct reports)
  • Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed and documentation meets required standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of plant rooms
  • Oversee reactive maintenance to ensure it aligns with contractual obligations
  • Manage and deliver minor improvement works
  • Attend and contribute to client meetings
  • Coordinate and manage external contractors
  • Primarily off the tools, but able to step in when operationally required
Requirements:
  • Fully qualified in Electrical Engineering to a recognised standard (e.g. City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3, HNC, or equivalent)
  • Strong knowledge of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance within building services
  • Good understanding of building services systems and facilities management operations
  • Strong administrative and IT skills, with experience using CAFM systems and Microsoft Office
  • Experience managing maintenance budgets, monitoring costs, and controlling expenditure
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills
  • Ability to prioritise workloads, coordinate engineers and subcontractors, and ensure high standards of service delivery
