Exciting opportunity to join an established FM service provider based at a commercial estate near Borehamwood, Hertfordshire. CBW Staffing Solutions is currently recruiting for an M&E Day Shift Engineer to work within a modern commercial estate environment.
The successful candidate will be electrically/mechanically qualified (C&G / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) with a proven track record in commercial building maintenance. Working as part of the on-site team, you will be responsible for delivering electrical, mechanical, and general building services maintenance across the site.

Hours of Work:
4 on 4 off (Days Only)
07:00 am – 19:00 pm / 06:00 am – 18:00 pm
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance
- Electrical maintenance, including lighting, lamp changes, ballast replacements, small installations, control panels, and power distribution
- Emergency lighting testing and maintenance
- Maintain and service AHUs and FCUs (filter changes, cleaning, basic maintenance)
- Chiller resets and first-line fault diagnosis
- Water treatment monitoring (temperature checks)
- Monitor and maintain mechanical plant, pumps, and motors
- Carry out basic plumbing works, including unblocking toilets and minor repairs
- Monitor BMS systems (hot & cold checks)
- Ensure all work is completed professionally and within required timeframes
- Proactively identify and resolve faults within building services equipment
- Ensure health & safety compliance at all times
- Maintain communication with client staff and site management
- Escort specialist subcontractors when required

Requirements:
- Electrically qualified – City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Proven track record in commercial building maintenance
- Experience within large commercial or critical environments
- Multi-skilled across electrical, mechanical, and building services
- Strong communication and client-facing skills
- Must be able to provide copies of trade certificates
- Must be able to attend the site for a 07:00 am start
