CBW Staffing Solutions is currently recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a leading FM service provider on a prestigious commercial office building in Moorgate, London. The successful candidate will be mechanically qualified (C&G / NVQ or equivalent) with a proven background in commercial building maintenance. Working as part of a multi-skilled engineering team, you will carry out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance, while also supporting with basic electrical and general building services maintenance where required.
Hours of Work
- 4 on 4 off Days
- 7:00am – 7:00pm
- Salary up to £50,000 per annum

- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on mechanical building services equipment
- Maintenance of HVAC plant including AHUs, FCUs, pumps, motors and associated equipment
- Servicing and maintenance of heating, chilled water and domestic water systems
- Fault finding and repairs on mechanical plant
- Basic plumbing repairs including valves, pipework, taps and sanitary ware
- Carry out basic electrical maintenance including emergency lighting checks, lamp replacements and simple fault finding
- Monitor BMS systems and respond to plant alarms where appropriate
- Escort and supervise specialist subcontractors
- Ensure all works are completed in line with KPI and SLA requirements
- Complete all maintenance documentation accurately and on time
- Identify and report faults with building services equipment and take appropriate action
- Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety procedures
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with the client and site management team
- Remain flexible and assist with additional maintenance duties within your level of competence
- Mechanical qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent)
- Experience working within commercial building maintenance
- Strong knowledge of mechanical building services including HVAC systems
- Experience with AHUs, FCUs, pumps, motors and plumbing systems
- Basic electrical knowledge would be advantageous
- Experience working in a critical environment is desirable
- Ability to provide copies of trade qualifications
- Proven track record in commercial maintenance
