CBW Staffing Solutions is currently recruiting a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to be based in a hospital in North London, carrying out planned and reactive building maintenance. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Facilities Maintenance and have a proven track record in M&E building maintenance.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Must have proven experience in planned preventative and reactive maintenance.
- Primary responsibility includes working on mechanical systems such as plumbing, air conditioning, and pressure systems.
- Assist the team with building fabric and electrical systems as needed.
- Perform maintenance on various assets by following a PPM schedule and ensuring compliance efficiently and flexibly.
- Manage reactive maintenance tasks from diagnosis to sourcing parts and completion.
- Act as the first line of response for reactive call-outs, ensuring safe work practices and adherence to Approved Codes of Practice.
- Collaborate with various parties, including specialist subcontractors, to deliver high-quality work.
- Demonstrate awareness and adherence to best working practices at all times.

- Demonstrated experience in operational management within a hard services environment, with a strong understanding of relevant procedural and legislative frameworks.
- Level 3 qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience in AP/CP roles or a willingness to undertake them.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office and CAFM software.
- A valid driving license.
- Experience in one or more AP disciplines (e.g., Legionella Management, Natural Gas, Ventilation Systems, Pressure Systems, Medical Gases) is desirable.
- Previous experience in PFI contracts within a healthcare setting is beneficial (desirable).
- Experience in quoting and costing rechargeable works (desirable).
