Exciting opportunity to join an established FM service provider based at a high-profile building in Chilton, Didcot. CBW Staffing Solutions is currently recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to be based on a static site, delivering both planned preventative and reactive maintenance across the building.
The successful candidate will be mechanically qualified (City & Guilds Level 2 or equivalent) with a proven track record in commercial building maintenance. Working as part of the on-site team, you will be responsible for maintaining the mechanical plant, as well as supporting basic electrical and general building services.

Hours of Work:
- Monday to Friday
- 08:00 am – 17:00 pm
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain the mechanical plant across the site
- Carry out plumbing works, including unblocking toilets, replacing taps and washers
- Maintain pumps, motors, seals, and bearings
- Service and maintain AHUs and FCUs (filter changes, cleaning)
- Perform water treatment tasks, including temperature checks (no dosing)
- Carry out basic electrical duties such as lamp changes
- Complete general building fabric maintenance
- Escort and supervise specialist subcontractors
- Carry out both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works
- Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety regulations
Package:
- Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum
- Call-out rota: 1 in 4 (£149 per week)

Requirements:
- Mechanically qualified – City & Guilds Level 2 or equivalent
- Proven track record in commercial building maintenance
- Multi-skilled with basic electrical and fabric knowledge
- Strong communication and client-facing skills
- Must be able to provide copies of trade certificates
