CBW Staffing Solutions is currently recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a facilities management team based at a commercial building in Moorgate, London covering 5 tenanted floors of a law firm.
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across the site, working as part of a wider engineering team. Candidates can come from either an Electrical or Mechanical background, but should have a good understanding of general building services and be comfortable carrying out a range of multi-skilled maintenance duties.

- Monday to Friday – 07:00–16:00 / 10:00–19:00
- Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance across the building
- Monitor and maintain mechanical and electrical plant and equipment
- Electrical fault finding and general electrical maintenance
- Lighting and emergency lighting checks and repairs
- Mechanical maintenance including pumps, motors, seals and bearings
- Air conditioning maintenance including AHUs and FCUs
- Filter changes, cleaning and general HVAC maintenance
- Plumbing maintenance including unblocking toilets and replacing taps, washers and fittings
- Carry out water temperature checks and general water hygiene duties
- Monitor and operate BMS systems
- Carry out general building fabric maintenance where required
- Respond to reactive maintenance requests and breakdowns
- Escort and supervise specialist subcontractors
- Maintain accurate records of completed PPM and reactive works
- Ensure all works are completed in line with site procedures and health & safety requirements
- Provide a professional and client-facing service at all times
- Electrically qualified City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent or mechanically qualified – City & Guilds Level 2 or equivalent (Essential)
- Candidates must be able to provide copies of their trade certificates
- Proven experience within commercial building maintenance / facilities management
- Strong multi-skilled building services knowledge
- Good understanding of both mechanical and electrical systems
- Previous experience working within a client-facing environment
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a wider engineering team
- Strong customer service skills
