Mobile Electrical Engineer – FM Service Provider – Retail Portfolio – South Coast of England – Up to £43,000 + Package

Exciting opportunity to join an established FM service provider covering a retail portfolio across the South Coast of England. CBW Staffing Solutions is currently recruiting for a Mobile Electrical Maintenance Engineer to operate across approximately 12 sites, including Worthing, Brighton, Burgess Hill, Portsmouth, Eastbourne, and Bognor Regis, delivering both planned preventative and reactive maintenance.

The successful candidate will be electrically qualified with a strong background in commercial building maintenance and a good understanding of mechanical and general building services. In return, the company is offering a competitive salary of up to £43,000, call-out allowance, and a strong benefits package.


Hours of Work:
  • Monday to Friday
  • 08:00 am – 17:00 pm
  • Call-Out: 1 in 6 (£135 per week)

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across multiple retail sites
  • Perform electrical maintenance including lighting installations, fault finding, lamping, and ballast changes
  • Carry out emergency lighting testing and maintenance
  • Maintain and monitor control panels and power distribution systems
  • Monitor and operate BMS systems (hot & cold checks)
  • Carry out maintenance on pumps, motors, chillers, and pressurisation units
  • Undertake basic plumbing works including unblocking toilets
  • Carry out general M&E and fabric maintenance across sites
  • Maintain and update logbooks, compliance records, and job sheets
  • Diagnose faults and proactively resolve building services issues
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety regulations
  • Maintain clear communication with client staff and report service issues where required
  • Remain flexible to attend multiple sites and undertake tasks within skill set
  • Escort and supervise specialist subcontractors

Package:
  • Salary: Up to £43,000 per annum
  • Call-Out: 1 in 6 (£135 per week)

Requirements:
  • Electrically qualified – City & Guilds Level 2 & 3 (essential)
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (essential)
  • Proven track record in commercial building maintenance
  • Multi-skilled across electrical, mechanical, and general building services
  • Strong communication and client-facing skills
  • Must be able to provide copies of trade certificates
