CBW Staffing Solutions is currently recruiting a Senior Mechanical Maintenance Engineer based in a commercial building in Tooting, South West London. He or she will be required to carry out planned and reactive building maintenance on the areas of this commercial building.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Facilities Maintenance and have a proven track record in Mechanical building maintenance. - Monday to Friday –07:00 am to 16:00 pm / 10:00 am to 19:00 pm
- Carry out and support the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and monitoring of steam systems within a commercial building, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant performance.
- Undertake planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across mechanical services, including steam plant, boilers, pipework, valves, pumps, and associated equipment.
- Act as a senior technical point of contact for mechanical and steam-related issues, providing practical support and guidance to engineers and technicians on site.
- Assist with the safe isolation, start-up, and shutdown of steam and mechanical plant in line with site procedures and permit-to-work requirements.
- Support statutory compliance by assisting with inspections, testing, and documentation, ensuring records, logbooks, and certifications are kept up to date.
- Liaise with subcontractors and service providers to support maintenance works, breakdowns, and inspections, ensuring work is completed to required standards.
- Diagnose and rectify mechanical faults, contributing to root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions to minimise repeat failures.
- Support the review and completion of risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) relating to mechanical and steam works.
- Contribute to plant efficiency and reliability by identifying commercially viable improvements to maintenance practices, energy usage, and system performance.
- Provide cover and support to the wider engineering team as required, maintaining a flexible, hands-on approach to site operations
- Mechanically qualified - City & Guilds Level 2 (Essential)
- Must be able to provide copies of your trade certificates
