We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established engineering team within a large, technically advanced manufacturing and office environment.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an engineer looking to develop their electrical maintenance experience while working across manufacturing areas, offices and specialist cleanroom environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned and routine electrical maintenance and inspections.
- Complete emergency lighting checks, including scheduled weekend work.
- Diagnose electrical faults and carry out repairs efficiently.
- Undertake small power installations and electrical works within your skill set.
- Provide general building services support, including some HVAC and fabric maintenance.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely and in line with relevant standards.
- Work across two nearby buildings as part of a supportive engineering team.
- Complete maintenance records and relevant compliance documentation.
- Participate in the on-call rota when required.
- SVQ Level 3 or equivalent electrical qualification.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
- Ideally 2–5 years' experience in electrical maintenance.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Experience within facilities management, manufacturing or an in-house engineering environment.
- Comfortable working across a varied site with electrical, HVAC and general building services responsibilities.
- Able to work independently while also contributing effectively to a team.
- Full right to work in the UK with a clear employment history.
- Monday–Friday working pattern.
- Early shift: Monday–Thursday 7:30am–3:30pm; Friday 7:00am–12:30pm.
- Early shifts for approximately 3 weeks per month.
- Late shift: approximately 1 week per month, Monday–Friday, 10:30am–7:00pm.
- Weekend emergency lighting: approximately 1 weekend per month, either Saturday or split across Saturday/Sunday.
- Weekend overtime paid at 1.25x.
- 1 in 6 on-call rota, with a £150 retainer plus a minimum 4 hours' pay when called out.
