Shift Leader – FM Service Provider – North West London – Up to £58,000 per annum

CBW is recruiting an experienced Shift Leader to join a prestigious multi-tenant commercial campus in North West London. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong engineer to work within a modern and technically challenging environment, delivering first-class building maintenance across a vibrant mixed-use estate occupied by a diverse range of commercial tenants.

Hours of Work

Continental Shift Pattern – Days & Nights (7 on, 7 off rotation)

Key Duties
  • Lead, motivate and support the on-site shift engineering team.
  • Ensure all Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance tasks are completed efficiently using the site’s CAFM system.
  • Carry out hands-on electrical and/or mechanical maintenance when required.
  • Diagnose and rectify faults on plant and equipment, minimising downtime and ensuring business continuity.
  • Monitor the quality of maintenance activities, documentation and housekeeping standards across the site.
  • Manage spare parts and ensure critical stock levels are maintained.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports and job documentation.
  • Prepare, review and implement Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) to ensure safe systems of work.
  • Support the delivery of a safe, compliant and high-performing building environment.
Requirements
  • Fully qualified in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
  • Previous experience working in a critical environment such as commercial offices, banking, data centres, healthcare or other high-profile facilities.
  • Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical building services.
  • Experience with critical systems, including UPS, generators, switchgear, transformers and power distribution.
  • Previous experience leading an engineering shift team within a critical or large commercial environment.
  • Excellent fault-finding, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • A proactive, customer-focused approach with a commitment to delivering exceptional engineering standards.
